“Blueville”
is a village built for poor families.
|
 |
As part of the work of supporting
the families in Nicoresti, between 2007 and 2008 we managed
to build 13 homes. The project saw the realization of the
first 9 houses in 2007, and the next 4 houses and a
playground built in 2008. |
Located at the entrance of Nicoresti, adjoining the main road, in an
area of 380 meters by 40 meters (every home has an area of 20 by 40
meters) the houses are made up of three rooms and an outdoor toilet,
have electrical connection and a small garden to grow vegetables (of
vital importance in these areas).
The houses were given over to families in need with no rental fee.
After 5 years, free of charge, they will become the owners of their
houses. These families are supported in this project by Ettore and
Pauline (Irish volunteer) to make sure that this donation is not
just a material gift, but an opportunity for these people to change
and improve their lives.

|
Many people,
especially from Italy, contributed to the realization of
this project through generous donations. |
 |
From Ireland we
received supplies for the roofs, windows, floors and other
construction material helping to keep the overall costs low. For
each house we paid around 6,000 euro.
|
 |
|
Thanks to a grant from county Trentino-Alto Adige in Italy, in
the spring of 2009 we will build 5 more houses in this
village. |
