Every year we
send many parcels containing clothes, games, school supplies
and food to Nicoresti. |
These packages help greatly to keep the operating costs low in
Romania, because instead of going to buy clothes or food here in
Romania, we receive them for free thanks to your donations.
In the past there were many different initiatives to help in
this regard.
In Malcesine, Fabio Furioli in collaboration with the hotel Unions,
managed to involve many hotels in this type of project.
Loraine Salia, together with some friends, had a nice idea: outside
different supermarkets they collected food with the slogan “set an
extra place at your table”.
The company Coopador from Parma annually sends pallets of tomato
sauce.
The primary school in Malcesine, in addition to raising awareness
about our mission, collected games and clothes for children in
Nicoresti.
The play school in Torbole, during Christmas, made a splendid
initiative where all the children gave a present and all the parents
donated a sum of money.
For this project we often had cooperation from the Verbiti
Congregation and from the charity Varum of Riva del Garda.
